A delightful post that demonstrates the true spirit of Christmas giving. Charity gifts are becoming more and more popular and with a little bit of education children are delighted to share the gift of giving at Christmas.
Christmas Present – Compassion
We were impressed by this post that Emily from Wide Open Spaces wrote in which she explained the delight of giving.
I am so excited, I just purchased our kids first Christmas present. Surely it will be the best one the receive all year. Not tossed to the wayside, broken is a moment or quickly out of style when the next best toy makes it’s appearance.
I just signed them up to sponsor a child through Compassion International. They now get to be a part of providing a six year old girl, living in Thailand, with clean water and with sufficient food. What other way might they get to help a child receive the medical care that that child may so desperately need? What other opportunity do they have to enable a little girl, who presently doesn’t attend school, get an education?
